GREECE RALLY 2019 REVIEW

Greece Rally 2019 comes to an end with great success!

Another successful year for Greece Rally comes to an end and the Next Generation Greece Rally saw riders enjoy a different kind of rally, moving between two cities and providing them with a different terrain and setting.

The first part of the Greece Rally gave the riders the hard terrain of Serres to warm them up and then moving them on to Veria for a totally different style. The riders had the chance to rider through Seli, Vermio mountains, Pieria mountains, and Vergina, of the Veria region thus making their ride unforgettable.

Once again, the winner of Greece Rally 2019 was #1 Stefan Svitko (KTM Rally 450) making his presence felt for another year. Many tried to match him but only one came close, the new comer #326 Howes Skyler (KTM EXC 450 Rally) gave him a run for his money but was unfortunate and after an accident forced to retire from the rally.

Runner-up to finish was also new to Greece Rally, #403 Matteo Cuta (HUSQVARNA FE 501) drove a fast race to put the rest of the riders behind him and take second overall. The Italian showed great pace and for sure he will be fighting for the top spot in the near future.

Third overall was #330 Milan Engel (KTM EXC 450) another new comer and showing great pace through all the stages.

First overall in the classes are as follows:
Class 1 #13 Edoardo Cavicchi (IT – HUSQVARNA FE 250)
Class 2 #25 Jos van Dal (NL – KTM EXC 350F)
Class 3 #1 Stefan Svitko (SK – KTM XC 450)
Class 4 #403 Matteo Cura (IT – HUSQVARNA FE 501)
Class 5 #537 Jan Michek (CZ – KTM 690 Enduro)
    Class 6 #63 Michele Cotti (IT – KTM 1090 ADV R)
Class Q #83 Enrico Ercolani (IT – POLARIS SCRAMBLER 1000)
Womens Class #76 Ekaterina Zhadanova (RU KTM EXC 450)
Veterans Class #38 Duong Nguyen Khoa (FR KTM EXC 450)

The Next Generation Serres-Veria Greece Rally brought something new and exciting to the rally. The move from one city to the other was smooth and easy both for the riders and crews. Feedback from the riders was very positive and it showed on their faces after every stage, once they removed their helmets you could see the smiles and expression of happiness and excitement.
